Chennai City is going wireless with the WiFi broadband services launched by a leading software solutions provider.
The wireless system named 'Wi5 services' is provided by Zylog Systems is implemented using mesh network architecture and the firm also plans to extend these services to other major cities of India.
Once operational these cities will be Wifi enabled zones and customers in these cities would be able to access the wi5 services while on the move using a Wi-Fi enabled laptop/ PC or a mobile device or a separate Wi-Fi card.
The service is available in varying speeds of 1Mbps, 2Mbps, and 4Mbps based on which rates are made ranging from Rs500-1700.
