In the wake of reports of alleged corruption charges involved with capitation fee scam in State medical college, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has sought detailed investigations into the matter.
The MCI has said that it would send its team to inquire on the incident which was brought out by a stint operation which claim that admissions for medical degrees are sold for crores of rupees.
This involves charges against a medical education body in Tamil Nadu which is said to be run by a Union minister. The move comes after the issue was raised at both Houses of the Parliament with senior Mps demanding action against this illegel practise.
