TNTDC unpopular with honeymoon packages

Nayan: Newly-weds scan maps to find the perfect honeymoon destinations. But to their surprise, they would discover that there aren't many destinations that match their requirements in Tamil Nadu. The reason: the destinations here are not well-marketed. Those approaching the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) are invariably turned away saying such a tour does not exist. In fact, the three nights-four days honeymoon packages to Ooty, Kodaikanal and Yercaud were introduced in 2004, but have not been popularised. They are offered between April 1 and June 15 (peak season) and June 16 to March-end (off season) annually.
