With Karunanidhi's DMK sweeping most of the seats it contested in Tamil Nadu the prospects for the DMK at the Center has increased, and the party is certainly looking forward for more cabinet posts in the Manmohan Singh led government.
As DMK has performed better than the last elections, and being a favoured ally of the UPA coalition sources indicate that the DMK Chief is keen to bargain atleast for 7 posts.
With 18 seats in its pocket, how much Karunanidhi could score in the bargain would depend on how far he could convince the Cong chief Sonia Gandhi to come in terms with the numbers.
