Nayan: Tollywood actress Simran being promoted to the role of Suriya's mother in Varanam Aayiram is old news. The latest buzz is that she appears as an old woman for a scene. Simran, as the aged wife of 'old' Suriya, carries the aged look perfectly in a flashback scene. The film sees Suriya appear in different get ups. Even if Simran doesn't get to play the lead role, she has a powerful role where she will be able to show her histrionic skills. The female leads are Sameera Reddy and Divya Spandana.
