Capitalism vs socialism

Friends have we ever thought about capitalism and socialism in TamilNadu in terms of TV. Socialism/Communism is Doordarshan with its programmes like Vayalum Vazhvum, Manaimatchi, Ariviyal Ayiram, Vinadi Vina, Ma. Nannan etc.. designed to accommodate everyone. It was the subject of picking and Doordarshan was teased and ridiculed for it (especially the Vayalum Vazhvum programme on Edhiroli).. Now the advent of Sun TV and other satellite channels seems like capitalism. Everything is cine-based programmes, after a while things get boring and TV is totally shunned (instead computer has taken over))
